From Our Shop to Your Home

Stone countertops are just as beautiful as they are durable, and they’re a classy way to modernize your kitchen.

But while stone brings a sense of modernity to the room, it also creates a timeless vibe that won’t soon go out of style.

At Wallstone Stone Countertops, we love using stone for all sorts of projects.

In our showroom, we stock granite, marble, quartzite, and quartz, and we’re excited to tell you more about them.

Granite

Granite is a tried-and-true classic that can make any kitchen look good. It is a natural stone that comes in all types of bold colorations and designs; if you want something that catches the eye, granite should be one of your top picks. It ranges in colors from light to dark and has a way of stealing the show every time.

This stone is heat and scratch resistant too. In fact, it’s known for its all-around durability. As you can see, its beauty is much more than skin deep!

Since granite is porous, it requires a sealing routine, but in the grand scheme of things, sealing is nothing to be intimidated by. Talk to our experts to learn more!

Marble

Marble is probably what you think of when you think of a luxurious, classy kitchen or bathroom. With its beautiful and unique veining and crisp colorations, there’s nothing quite like the glamor of this stone. It can make your space shimmer, and many people love how it ages naturally and acts as a centerpiece of the room.

Known for being softer and more porous than granite, marble may sustain scratches or etch marks, so be careful. This type of stone is also relatively easy to stain, so make sure to keep it sealed—and even if it’s sealed, always clean up spills as soon as they happen.

Quartzite

If you were to mix the good qualities of granite and marble together, you would get quartzite. This stone has marble’s aesthetics and granite’s level of durability and low degree of maintenance. So, for many, it’s the best of both worlds.

Quartzite is a hard, dense stone. It doesn’t easily sustain scratches or damage as long as you take care of it, and luckily it’s extremely simple to take care of—so simple that all you need is soap and water.

This stone is porous, so needs to be sealed like granite and marble do.

Quartz

Quartz is a man-made stone composed of natural quartz, polymers, and resins. The artificial additives bind the particles of the stone together and create a nonporous surface—which means that, unlike the three previous stones, you never have to worry about sealant with quartz. It comes with its own sealant!

The nonporous nature of quartz makes it a hygienic place to cook and eat, and you can rest assured that its cleaning routine is straightforward too. If you’ve got soap and water, you’ve got what you need to clean this stone.

Slabs come in a variety of colorations and patterns and can even be made to look like natural stone.
